Whether it’s a broken arm from playing basketball or sprained ankle from a bad fall you can skip the wait for an appointment and receive specialized, immediate orthopedic care at one of our eight urgent care locations.

What’s the Benefit of Orthopedic Urgent Care?

The quick answer: specialization and speed.

Typical urgent care clinics are led by medical practitioners who focus on generalized medical conditions. A visit with a specialist, such as an orthopedic doctor or surgeon, usually requires a referral and an appointment scheduled in advance. Getting an appointment with a specialist can often take weeks, or even months depending on insurance coverage and/or provider availability.

OrthoCarolina’s Urgent Care clinics provide patients with prompt access to specialized orthopedic medical care access at convenient hours, and on a walk-in basis. Our waiting rooms are also less congested than typical urgent care clinics, since we exclusively offer care for orthopedic injuries.

Visiting an emergency department can result in several hours of waiting, delayed time to getting definitive answers for your health concerns, and beginning the next steps in the process to healing.

Our eight different Orthopedic Urgent Care locations have various hours of operation, including after-work hours and weekends for the convenience of our busy patients. View all of our orthopedic urgent care locations and hours of operation to choose the clinic that works best for your needs.

Can I Get X-Rays and MRIs at Your Clinic?

When you visit one of our Orthopedic Urgent Care locations, you can expect to receive a comprehensive evaluation of your injury. Depending on your presenting injury, this may require further workup via advanced imaging techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We work with our patients to find a time and location suitable to their needs when scheduling MRIs if we feel their exam warrants further radiologic examination after their initial evaluation.

Once your injury has been assessed, your healthcare provider will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.

The prompt access to this level of specialized care can help ensure you are properly diagnosed and treated, and can provide an easier path on the road to recovery.
